Letter from the Chairman 2015

The games of 2014, our 150th anniversary, were a great success thanks in no small part to the fantastic spectacle of our pipe bands. Our usual stalwarts the Blairgowrie, Rattray and District Pipe Band were joined by Blair Atholl Pipe Band and the Atholl Highlanders to provide an amazing show. Very many thanks to everyone involved and to the Duke of Atholl for allowing his pipe band and highlanders to attend our anniversary games.

This years procession will start in the cross at 1145 where the pipe band will strike up a few tunes and at 1230 they start their traditional march from the North car park through Dunkeld and over the bridge to the games park led by our chieftain Thomas Steuart Fothringham and myself.

As always it is my pleasure to thank the committee and all our helpers on the day for all their work and time without which the games could not continue to work so well.

Finally a big thank you to all our sponsors and patrons whose generosity makes it possible to run these games. The committee and myself look forward to welcoming you to Birnam Games.
